Dr. Bassem Fahs, a LESA postdoc at RPI will present “A 1.8 Gb/s Fully Integrated Optical Receiver for OOK Visible Light Communication in 0.35 µm CMOS” during Session A4L-L in Salon Kafka-Lamartine on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 16:00 – 17:30.  This work is a collaboration with Asif Chowdhury (PhD student) and Professor Mona Hella, all from RPI.

LESA Deputy Director, Rich Radke will be presenting at SID Display Week on Tuesday, May 24th during Session 17.2.  Their Invited Paper is Advanced Sensing and Control in the Smart Conference Room at the Center for Lighting Enabled Systems and Applications.  This talk will describe the Smart Conference Room at the NSF Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center, which features a networked system of 5-channel LED fixtures, custom color sensors, time-of-flight sensors, and advanced algorithms to enable real-time privacy-preserving occupancy tracking and energy-efficient feedback control.
