The Greenhouse Lighting and Systems Engineering (GLASE) program has an immediate opening for a GLASE Director. The director is expected to develop and execute a marketing plan to recruit and retain to recruit and retain industry consortium members;
manage and coordinate conference calls, progress reports, and project review meetings; prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and meeting results; and, prepare planning documents and industry survey instruments involved in the creation of the Consortium. Other tasks include, but are not limited to: developing a financial sustainability plan with annual budgets and updates, and operational policies for the consortium.
The Greenhouse Lighting and Systems Engineering (GLASE) consortium is a public-private partnership to integrate advanced energy-efficient LED lighting with improved environmental controls for more efficient and sustainable greenhouse production. The consortium is led by Cornell University’s Controlled Environment Agriculture group and the Center for Lighting Enabled Systems and Applications (LESA) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and is sponsored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The Director will serve as the coordinator between all project participants.
